This twine is 100 percent
cotton in a #42 size which is a
bit larger than the regular rosary #36 twine
listed on this site. It is available in a pre-cut 8 yard
size package and because this twine is 100
percent cotton, after dyeing, please allow for shrinkage
when dried.
This twine comes in its natural
color which will allow you to dye it to whatever color you
like. The pictures on this page were
dyed using the Kool-Aide®1
method with warm water, not hot. It's really
a simple, inexpensive process and easy to do.
You can also use any commercially available
dye that's used for 100 percent
cotton fiber, just follow the manufactures
instructions for the dyeing process.
Below are a few sample colors.
We obtained these pastel shades using the
Kool-Aid® method of dyeing the #42
cotton twine. Different shades
can be achieved by lengthening or
shortening the amount of time the
twine is left in the solution and
modifying
water temperature. Please
order sufficient quantities to
"Test" your dyeing process to be sure
of the color.
