TIPS
FOR CUTTING TWINE
We highly
recommend use of the twine cutting tool (see below) for a
quick and easy way to cut and seal your twine. However if
that is not an option, please try these handy tips!
METHOD
FOR CUTTING ALL NYLON AND POLYESTER TWINES
To
prevent fraying, fold
a piece of tape over the twine. Cut twine in middle of
taped area with sharp
scissors. Run newly cut ends past a candle or lighter
flame. The smaller the twine, the less time is
needed near the flame or heat source (over-heating may cause
melted globs may form). Cool a couple of seconds, remove tape. Use care, as the melting nylon
is extremely hot momentarily, but will cool quickly! These
cutting tips are the same for the nylon and the polyester.
